P2P Special events mostly take place in winter, in the desert. In November, December and May we usually head north, to the Galilee and the Golan. Each event has two full riding days, sometimes with a shorter third day to finish.
Special, just like it sounds
- A unique route tailored for these events
- Views and points of interest you rarely reach
- Long but very rewarding climbs
- Food and water stops in small villages, to support local communities
- Amazing camp spots for evenings of beer, campfire and stories
- No competition: everyone meets at the same spot each night
No commitment, just an invitation
The Special events built a big fan community because they are non-binding: the route is only a suggestion, and anyone can play with it as long as they reach the camp spot at night.
Each year 3–4 different Specials open, so the route never repeats.
What a P2P weekend looks like
-
Thursday afternoon
Park at the start and ride a short stretch to the first camp. Can’t make Thursday? Join on Friday morning.
-
Friday
The long day: the heart of the route, food stops in small villages, and everyone at the same camp in the evening.
-
Saturday
A shorter, easier day, then a train or bus back to the cars.
-
Always
Everyone at their own pace, and you can cut short almost anywhere. Just make it to camp.
Good to know
Weather decides
If heavy rain or a storm is forecast, we change region or postpone, and the update goes out in the Telegram group.
Food & water
Some routes have just one stop for a whole day, and sometimes water is cached at camp. Always check the file and the group before you go.
Don’t ride alone
Routes cross desert and remote areas with no support or rescue. Ride with a friend or two; everyone is responsible for themselves.
Shared album
After every event a shared photo album opens in the group. Upload everything – you might find yourself in someone else’s photos.
What makes it a community
The organiser may set a date and share a file, but the experience belongs to everyone: whoever brings the whisky, whoever carries the coffee kit, whoever tells stories by the fire, whoever posts an alternative route in the group, and whoever comes for the first time and is welcomed straight away. Everyone brings something to camp.

How much does it cost?
Nothing. Our events are always free – just show up and ride.
Can I ride just one day?
Most P2P routes have a shortcut back to the car, planned especially for riders who keep Shabbat. Ask about it in the P2P Telegram group.
Can I come on my own?
Of course. There’s no race and no fixed groups. Everyone rides at their own pace and we all meet at the same camp in the evening.
What should I bring?
Full bikepacking kit for a night outdoors, plus water and food for the route – it’s all in the gear list. And the whole community will thank you if you bring a flask of something tasty to share at camp 🥃
How do I hear about the route and dates?
All updates, the final route and the camp location are posted in the P2P Telegram group.
